What did Martin Luther preach about on Easter Sunday? Well, it seems everything is on the Internet these days, including the sermon Luther preached on Easter Sunday in 1540. It’s one of many messages from esteemed church leaders you’ll find at the Easter Sermons web site, which features historic messages by Luther, John Chrysostom and St. Cyril of Jerusalem, along with contemporary messages from Pope John Paul II and recent leaders of the Orthodox, Anglican and Episcopalian churches.

Another rich source of historic Easter preaching is Expository Easter Sermons, which features messages by Charles Spurgeon and poems for Good Friday from John Donne and John Newton (of “Amazing Grace” renown).
